Dundee Township library kicks off summer reading club

On Monday, June 22, children of all ages can kick off Summer Reading Club with a hilarious "bubbleology" performance at 2 p.m. at the Dundee Township Public Library in East Dundee.

International bubble artist Geoff Akins will present "Bubble Wonders" in the library's meeting room. Akins will create moments of wonder and awe during this bubble show.

Free tickets will be available 30 minutes before his performance.

Safety Day: The children's department invites children from preschool age to second grade to "Safety Day" from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 25.

Local police and fire personnel will tell stories, inform children of safety rules and demonstrate safety gear. Following the presentation, rescue equipment will be open for inspection in the library parking lot. No registration is required for this free program.
