Everyone deserves civil liberties, benefits

I applaud the intention of President Obama to extend full benefits to gay federal employees' partners, and intend to write him and tell him so. I hope while he's at it, he includes "third sex" partners - those people who are not defined as belonging strictly to either the male or the female gender. Anyone fitting the definition of homo sapiens should be included in any civil liberty, benefit, etc., without discrimination based on sexual orientation.
