Library posts record high circulation
The Lake Villa District Library had a record high number of checked out materials in July. The 111,179 items reflects an increase of more than 6 percent from July 2008. Library Director Bob Watson said the attitude of the staff is the main reason for the increase. "A lot of this can simply be attributed to the power of being nice," he said. "We try, hard, to develop a customer service attitude among our employees. People like to come back to their library and the proof is in our rising circulation figures."
