Boaters hurt on Nippersink Lake near Fox Lake

Two people were hurt Saturday night following a boating accident on Nippersink Lake near the village of Fox Lake.
The accident happened in about 6:30 p.m. north of Riverside Island, firefighters said. Two boats collided and one overturned.
The two injured boaters were taken to Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry. A third boater was examined on the scene and released, firefighters said.
Lake County sheriff's police were investigating the crash.
