St. Charles teen gets probation for nude pics

A St. Charles teen has been sentenced to 24 months probation for having nude images of his former girlfriend on a computer at St. Charles East High School.

Piotr S. Rybak, 19, of the 1900 block of Wessel Court, pleaded guilty Thursday to reckless conduct in a negotiated plea accepted by Kane County Judge James C. Hallock.

Rybak was charged with child pornography possession in March after three pictures and videos of his ex-girlfriend - taken when she was 16 - were discovered during a routine check of library computers at East High School, 1020 Dunham Road.

The more serious felony charges, punishable by up to five years in prison, were dismissed as a result of this week's plea deal, but they could be pursued if Rybak does not successfully complete his probation.

According to court records, Rybak's prior criminal history includes a disorderly conduct conviction in January 2008 as well as truancy and traffic citations. Police said he loaded the images on the school computer in 2008 when he was 17. He is no longer a student.
