Man memorializes death:

Her stepdad, David Dowaliby, was convicted, but the verdict was overturned. Her mom Cynthia Dowaliby was found not guilty. No other suspects have ever been arrested in the case, which remains unsolved. "We have the obligation to never forget children who have been relegated to the 'cold case' file," Balcer said in a letter to the paper, inviting anyone interested in joining him on the walk to call (847) 347-8881.
