Proviso West (4-0, 1-0) at Glenbard West (4-0, 2-0)

Game time 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Last year Glenbard West 30, Proviso West 7.

Outlook The Panthers are 4-0 for the first time and seek their first win over Glenbard West since 1996. Last week they took advantage of 5 York turnovers and the playmaking ability of one of the nation's top players, 6-foot-5, 205-pound Kyle Prater. The senior receiver, verbally committed to the University of Southern California, had 9 catches for nearly 300 yards and 3 touchdowns in just the past two weeks. Quarterback Malik Thurman has another talented receiver in 6-4, 194-pound Julius Shelby. Regardless of the skill players, though, this game will boil down to the trenches. Glenbard West aims to disrupt the pass game with pressure from sophomore nose Tommy Schutt and junior end Zach Marshall, who had 3 sacks last week. The best defense against Prater is to keep him off the field, which feeds into Glenbard West's strength of ball control. Expect a steady dose of running backs Adam Bruere, Pierre Washington-Steel, Trace Sorey and Steve Jones, who combined for 170 rushing yards against Oak Park. Quarterback Tyler Warden also has talented receivers in J.T. Mesch and Nick Burrello.

Next week Downers North at Proviso West; Glenbard West at Addison Trail.
