ABC7 anchor Judy Hsu gives birth on Eisenhower
A Chicago TV anchorwoman became part of the news when she gave birth to a baby while riding in the front seat of a car on the Eisenhower Expressway.
WLS-TV anchor Judy Hsu delivered her fourth child while on the way to the hospital early Tuesday.
She and her husband, Tracy, eventually had to pull over. He helped with the delivery. Using a tip he says he saw in a WLS story about another unexpected birth, he used his shoelaces to tie off the umbilical cord.
Hsu and her son are doing fine. The couple named the baby Alexander James, but she's reportedly already nicknamed him "Ike" -- after the expressway where he was born.
