Gawlik's third as Schamburg takes fifth at Lockport

Jodi Gawlik finished third individually to help Schaumburg to fifth place in the team race at the 19-team Walker Invitational hosted by Lockport on Saturday.

Gawlik rolled a morning series of 661 (high game 235) and an afternoon series of 627 to average 214.67 per game for the day.

Lockport got a 1-2 individual finishes from Mollie Sloyan (227.67) and Caitlin Hoffman (216.83) and earned the team title with a total series of 5,933. Plainfield Central (5,863) was second, followed by Minooka (5,690), Morris (5,615) and Schaumburg (5,535).

Kelly Judge finished 11th individually for the Saxons with an average of 200.83.

Prospect finished seventh with a total pinfall of 5,374. The Knights were led by Allison Walsh's fifth-place finish with an average of 208.67.

Stephanie Vura finished sixth for Conant with an average of 207.67 and helped the Cougars (5,118) to eighth place in the team race.
