State Rep. Bassi supports business

Pro-business legislators are desperately needed at this time when Illinois businesses are struggling to survive the effects of a prolonged Recession.

State Rep. Suzie Bassi of the 54th District has been a champion of business throughout her six terms. Rep. Bassi supported business by fighting against the proposed Gross Receipts Tax and the increase in Cook County sales tax. She also fought against raising the income tax to from 3 percent to 4.5 percent for individuals, and from 4.8 percent to 7.2 percent for corporations.

Suzie Bassi has been clear in her opposition to skimming the state pension funds and other accounting gimmicks proposed to balance the budget.

Businesses in the Northwest suburbs are poised to lead the state out of the recession, but to do so, must be assured of support from pro-business legislators in Springfield. State Rep. Suzie Bassi promises to stand with the business community and we thank her for her commitment to a better future for all.
