Hamos offers proven leadership

We encourage you to vote for Julie Hamos for Congress. Hamos is running for the 10th Congressional District, the seat that is being vacated by Mark Kirk. Julie Hamos is one of the most competent and ethical legislators we know. She has worked for Illinois families and consumers throughout her life as a public interest attorney, Assistant State's Attorney and, since 1999, as a state legislator.

Some of her accomplishments include writing the first laws to protect women and children from domestic violence, improving our regional mass transit system as Chair of the Mass Transit Committee, challenging Springfield leaders to enact tough "pay-to-play" and ethics reform legislation.

As parents of a child with special needs, we know first hand that Julie Hamos is a strong advocate for individuals with disabilities and she has worked to change the system to provide for more community based living opportunities.

Julie reaches across the aisle and works well with both Republicans and Democrats. She is well respected by both parties and isn't afraid to criticize her own party when the need arises.
