DuPage County native Cathy Richardson is a powerhouse performer on stage, and she'll display her skills once again when she plays at Fitzgerald's with her psychedelic San Francisco backing band. Richardson's tough singing style, country-tinged hooks and irrepressible live persona make this show a definite pick for the weekend.

Girl power

Metal fans, take note: Arch Enemy, a Swedish group that's one of the few metal bands fronted by a female singer (Angela Gossow), takes the stage at House of Blues for a night of dark, ferocious headbanging!
