McCoy set to show off arm after injury
AUSTIN, Texas -- The winningest quarterback in college history has something to prove.
Former Texas standout Colt McCoy is set to work out for NFL scouts Wednesday morning to show them his injured right arm has recovered and that he's ready for next month's draft.
McCoy won an NCAA record 45 games as a starter at Texas, but was knocked out of the BCS championship game against Alabama on the first drive. A hard tackle pinched a nerve and caused his throwing arm to go numb.
McCoy went to the NFL combine but didn't throw. He's expected to throw for scouts Wednesday in a workout on the Texas campus.
