Feds want Blago details under wraps
Prosecutors are asking permission to file under seal a key document in the corruption case against former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
If Judge James Zagel gives the OK, the public may have to wait until the trial due to start June 3 before hearing about previously undisclosed evidence.
The document -- known as a Santiago proffer -- outlines the government's case. Prosecutors said in court papers Monday it contains evidence that has never been aired in public.
They said they wanted the court and Blagojevich's attorneys to review that evidence before it is unveiled in public, especially with preliminary jury selection work now under way.
