Police say man killed self at Ind. gun shop

VALPARAISO, Ind. -- Authorities say a 60-year-old man fatally shot himself in the head at the shooting range of a northwestern Indiana sporting goods store.

Valparaiso police say the man got the gun from Blythe's Sport Shop employees after saying he was interested in buying it, then took it to the range and turned it on himself. He was taken after Tuesday's shooting to a hospital where he died a short time later.

Porter County Coroner Bob Schulte says the man's death was caught on camera, which shows the man shooting himself. No one was with him, but there were bystanders in the area.
