Village board now reality show model

Please vote yes to recall on November 2nd. The damage that has been done to our community is so staggering that we cannot afford to let it continue for another 30 months.

There are many seminars for newly elected officials. Village staff uselessly spent countless hours one-on-one with Lisa Stone. Sitting trustees offered assistance. Nothing worked. Lisa Stone does not appear to be interested in working with others, which is also why a mediator would never work.

The recall has nothing to do with unsuccessful candidates. It has to do with residents who had a community where they were proud to say they lived. Others always asked me how we do things in BG because they wanted to be like us. Now people in other municipalities tell me that they judge what they are doing so that they do not become like BG.

It has been noted that she had not been on a board like this before. Exactly! She has never been involved in anything in the village previously, and has never volunteered for anything, and still does not participate in community events. She applied for a job for which she had absolutely no qualifications. How is it that Trustee Sussman was in the exact same position and is functioning very well and has worked with and become friends with the rest of the board?

BG has always been a model for good government. Thanks to Stone, we have now become a model for a reality show.
