Elgin Sports Complex hosts a wedding

Nicole Nabor and Ryne Koessl of the Space Coyotes Softball Team exchanged marriage vows this evening just before the playoff game on Field #3 at the Elgin Sports Complex. John W. Taylor, the team manager/pitcher, officiated the ceremony from home plate.

Ryne and Nicole's families and friends attended the ceremony along with his team members, fans and anyone whose attention was draw to the event.

The ceremony script, authored by the officiant, drew a beautiful analogy between marriage and a softball game. It presented the kind of sentiment that is not often seen at a softball game.

The Space Coyotes are a bunch of gentlemen who have known each other since childhood, and have enjoyed the kind of comradery that has bonded them, and their families together as one big extended family for many years. Thus, "... in the presence of God, the Space Coyotes, and the Elgin Sports Complex, I do now pronounce you husband and wife." ... a befitting ending before the beginning of a game/marriage ...
