St. Peter School in Antioch welcomes back the 29th annual Footlights Entertainment Extravaganza

Antioch, IL, OCTOBER 28, 2010: St. Peter School in Antioch proudly presents Lake County's 29th annual Footlights entertainment weekend on Nov. 5-6. The entertainment weekend is the largest fundraiser for St. Peter School, a faith-based educational resource that has been teaching local children for more than 60 years. The theme for the 2010 Footlights event is “Pirates of St. Peter's”, and we are proud to announce the musical talent of Hit Parade, a band bringing back the hits all the way from the 60's through today. Beyond the musical talent, guests will also enjoy a full casino, an Irish Pub featuring the Bar Stool Soldiers, and an Improv room showcasing some of our very own local talent.

“World-class music is only one part of the entertainment visitors can expect at Footlights this year”, said Linda Pleuger, a volunteer at the weekend entertainment event. “I know everyone has been touched by the tough economy in one way, and if you are like me, you are being very frugal with your discretionary spending. For the small admission price, you are not only enjoying Footlights for the weekend, which is easy on the wallet, but also supporting a great local school. Remember, come to Footlights hungry, because we have a full restaurant and dessert shop all under one roof to satisfy even the most discerning palettes”, Pleuger concluded.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 and Saturday, Nov 6 at Fr. Hanley Hall in St. Peter School, 900 St. Peter Street in Antioch. Ticket prices are $10 for advanced tickets or $12 at the door and $5 for seniors 65 and older. Drink and food tickets are available at the event and you must be 21 years old to enter the event.
