Food festival nets $21,000 for Adventist GlenOaks Hospital

Glendale Heights – Nearly $21,000 was raised at Fall Festival of Flavors, the annual community fundraiser benefitting Adventist GlenOaks Hospital. GlenOaks Hospital Foundation hosted the event Oct. 13 at Medinah Shrine Center in Addison.

Two hundred and ninety guests sampled delicious dishes prepared by 21 local restaurants and caterers. The event is the GlenOaks Hospital Foundation's biggest fundraiser of the year.

“We're so grateful to the community and our hospital staff for supporting this worthwhile cause,” said Michelle Kallevik, executive director of the GlenOaks Hospital Foundation. “We're already looking forward to next year's event.”

Proceeds will support the purchase of digital mammography equipment for Women's Health Services at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital.

Event sponsors included the administrative team of Adventist Midwest Health, Dr. John F. Beshai, MiraMed Revenue Group, Old Town Bank & Trust of Bloomingdale and Suburban Radiologists, S.C. Event co-chairs were Rosanna DeFrenza, owner of RoccoVino's Ristorante & Pizzeria in Carol Stream, and Keith M. Knautz, director of golf course operations at the Glendale Lakes Golf Club in Glendale Heights.
