Grace Street Railroad Crossing To Be Closed for 14 Days Beginning November 12

The closure will result in trains running at slower speeds through the Village of Lombard and the public may experience delays at crossings. To ensure the safety of crews and pedestrians, the train horns will be sounded at each crossing, which is in compliance with the Federal Horn Rule.

The detour route for south bound traffic on Grace Street is west bound on St. Charles Road to south bound Main Street to east bound Maple Street. North bound Grace Street will follow west bound Maple Street to north bound Main Street to east bound St. Charles Road. East bound St. Charles Road will detour to south bound Main Street to east bound Maple Street to north bound Westmore-Meyers Road. West bound St. Charles Road will follow south bound Westmore-Meyers Road to west bound Maple Street to north bound Main Street.

Questions regarding the project may be addressed to the Public Works Department at (630) 620-5740 or Union Pacific Railroad at (312) 777-2002.
