Antioch's Potkonjak surpasses 1,000 points

Andi Potkonjak reached a milestone, scoring her 1,000 point and leading Antioch's girls basketball team to a 59-55, overtime defeat of Walther Lutheran Wednesday night at the Lisle Holiday Classic.

Potkonjak scored 21 points and had 4 assists for Antioch (7-6). Two Sequoits also scored double doubles. Lindsey Gofron added 12 points and 13 rebounds, and Lauren Tiffany had 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Potkonjak entered the game 3 points shy of 1,000.

The Sequoits will play the winner of the Lisle/Westmont game today.
