Headin' out: Anne Frank exhibit opens

‘Anne Frank: A History for Today'

The Elmhurst Historical Museum takes a closer look at the life of young Holocaust victim and author Anne Frank through the traveling exhibit “Anne Frank: A History for Today.” The exhibit, from the Anne Frank Center USA, tells the story of the Holocaust through photos from the Frank family scrapbooks, excerpts from Anne's diary and images of historical events that took place around the Frank family during World War II. Opens at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, at the Elmhurst Historical Museum, 120 E. Park Ave., Elmhurst. Hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Exhibit runs through Sunday, March 27. ‘Les Miserables'

The Cadillac Palace Theatre welcomes the new tour of “Les Miserables,” the 1986 hit musical based on Victor Hugo's epic novel about a righteous convict on the run in 19th-century France. 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2; 2 and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3; 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4; and 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at the Cadillac Palace Theatre, 151 W. ‘Vanished' author

Meet New York Times best-selling thriller author Joseph Finder as he discusses and signs copies of his book “Vanished” at the Vernon Area Public Library District.
