Aurora man killed in one-vehicle crash

A 19-year-old Aurora man was killed early Sunday morning when his 1995 Ford Explorer left the road and crashed near Farnsworth Avenue and Mountain Street.

Aurora police say it appears Jose A. Morales of the 600 block of Fulton Street was traveling south on Farnsworth about 3:35 a.m. when his vehicle left the road and struck a light pole and a tree about 500 feet south of Mountain Street.

Paramedics transferred Morales to Provena Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Traffic investigators said there were no obvious signs of alcohol use.

An autopsy was scheduled Monday afternoon at the Kane County coroner’s office.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call traffic investigators at (630) 256-5330.
