Sherman Foundation host April 18 forum on healthcare reform

The Sherman Health Foundation will host a Sherman Health Insights Forum about Healthcare Reform from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Monday, April 18 at Sherman Hospital, 1425 N. Randall Road. During the forum, attendees will learn:

• What is the federal bill impact on Illinois?

• What are the key dates and deadlines business owners need to be focused on as different elements of the new legislation go into effect?

• Are there new reporting requirements for health benefits for business?

• How will the reform affect the community hospital as your healthcare provider?

• What is the insurance exchange, and how will I be able to use it?

The event will begin with a breakfast buffet, followed by a panel discussion at 7:45 a.m. The panel will include Rick Jakle, chairman of the Sherman Health System Board, as moderator, and Rick Floyd, president and CEO of Sherman Health; Howard Peters, executive vice president of policy and advocacy at the Illinois Hospital Association; and A. Boomer Whipple, CEBS, senior vice president at Lundstrom Insurance.

The discussion will be followed by a question and answer session.

The event is $40 per person, or $320 for a table of eight. Checks can be made payable to: Sherman Health Foundation. Credit cards accepted.
