Free antique appraisals

State Bank of the Lakes is hosting two free antique appraisals. The first is Saturday, April 30, at the Grayslake location at 50 Commerce Drive. The second event is scheduled for Saturday, June 11, at the Spring Grove branch, 1906 Holian Drive. Both will run from 10 a.m. to noon. Karl Gates, a professional appraiser, will examine the items. One item will be appraised for each visitor and must be able to be carried into the bank. Guns, stamps and coins won’t be appraised. Time constraints may prevent all items from being appraised.
