'Home Alone' house to be put up for sale

The Winnetka home filmed extensively throughout the movie “Home Alone” is expected to be put up for sale today.
The asking price for the 4,250-square-foot Lincoln Avenue home that features 14 rooms, four bedrooms and 3.2 bathrooms, is expected to be $2.4 million.
Owners John and Cynthia Abendshien have listed the home with Coldwell Banker Residential Mortgage.
Only prequalified buyers will be able to make appointments for a tour of the home that sits on a half-acre of land.
Realtors indicated no open houses are planned for the property because of potential star struck non-buyers who would like a tour of the house filmed in the movie.
