Couples' massage session Oct. 13 at Vernon Hills YMCA

Two can enjoy the nurturing, relaxing and therapeutic benefits of massage together from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 at the Central Lake YMCA in Vernon Hills.

This workshop is based on simple, easy-to-learn Swedish and sports massage techniques designed for two to share.

Also covered during the session, which is limited to 10 couples, will be a general overview of back and neck muscles, precautions, hands-on treatments, and a brief history of massage.

Yoga mats, towels and chairs will be provided. Participants should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and check in at the front desk no later than 6:45 p.m. Fees are $10 for members of the Y and $20 for community members.
