Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Calby as vice president of human resources.

Since 2007, Calby has served as vice president of human resources for ACL Laboratories. She has been an integral member of the ACL executive team providing strategic direction for the human resources function in collaboration with ACL's strategic plan. Calby has played a key role in improving associate engagement and communications and in strengthening ACL's commitment to provide a positive work environment for associates.

Beginning her Advocate career in 1987, Calby has served in several Advocate human resources leadership roles, specifically associate relations, sourcing and selection and records and data. In addition, she has demonstrated results in areas of merger integration, system payroll conversions, conflict resolution, and system project implementation.

Calby earned an M.B.A. from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science degree in health information management from Illinois State University.
