Kid-friendly rocker Ralph's World coming to Stevenson

Ralph Covert, a kid-friendly rock musician whom the New York Times says could become the Elvis Presley of the genre, will bring his “Ralph's World” show to the Stevenson High School Performing Arts Center on Sunday, Feb. 19.

The concert begins at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children, and can be ordered by calling (847) 415-4121.

Covert, who also is a member of the rock band the Bad Examples, has made several albums for kids, and has written several children's books and starred in a number of videos available at YouTube. Known for his trademark lime-green Chuck Taylor shoes, Covert appeals to kids and their parents alike.

The Ralph's World concert is part of the Spotlight on Stevenson community concert series sponsored by the Stevenson High School Foundation. For more information, visit www.d125.org/foundation.
