A time to recognize and remember

On Saturday, May 19, please remember to celebrate U.S. Armed Forces Day. We should thank and honor everyone in uniform for their courage, sacrifices, and service as they protect us while standing in harm's way during the longest war in our country's history.

On Monday, May 28, Memorial Day, please remember all men and women since the founding of our nation who gave their lives so that we may enjoy our freedoms. John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.”

Let us honor them all by reciting our Pledge of Allegiance from our lips and our hearts:

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
