Despite shaky start our kids surprise us
Forty-plus years ago my generation journeyed triumphantly to Woodstock for a collective temper tantrum borne of free love, destructive drug use and a universal contempt for authority. As we burned our draft cards and bras in defiance of all things traditional, we unwittingly forged the role model for our posterity.
Today we find that our pitiful parenting skills and a watered down public education system have conspired to nurture a parade of self-centered misfits on Wall Street and Chicago’s Loop. Enter the malcontent occupiers encouraged to despise capitalism, envy and covet other’s success while whining in unison about life’s inherent lack of fairness.
Despite our incompetence and malpractice, countless youths of today stand tall in an all-volunteer military defending our nation, lead increasingly successful respect-life ministries gradually eradicating the genocide, holocaust of abortion and educate themselves in the genius of the Founders firmly grounded in a solid faith in our Creator. These young people will expose and defeat the perjured, corrupt promises of socialism, renew in all of us the truth that every human life has infinite value and guarantee the future strength and vigor of these United States.
Once again, the hand of Providence has interceded to embrace and perpetuate the greatness of the American experiment.
