Latin Street Dancing and GALLI Lucha Libre add entertainment to Fiesta de Verano
Join your friends and family in Community Park in Addison for FIESTA de VERANO on Sunday, July 15 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Enjoy music, family games, food, soccer contests, sand volleyball, bounces houses and more! Admission to the event is free; however there will be a small fee for the bounce-houses and food.
A DJ will play dance music throughout the event and free family games such as bag toss and other activities will be available for kids of all ages.
FIESTA de VERANO wristbands can be purchased for $5.00 to allow unlimited access to the bounce houses. Premium wristbands can be purchased for $7.00 each which includes admission to the outdoor pool for the day.
La Placita Taqueria of Addison will have a variety of food available for purchase in Community Park during the event including traditional Mexican dishes.
Additional entertainment includes performances by the Addison Park Dancers, Westernettes, RUSH arena football players, a performance by Latin Street Dancing at 3:00 p.m. followed by GALLI Lucha Libre starting at 4:00 p.m.
Latin Street Dancing, Chicago's premier Salsa dance studio, is recognized as a force in Latin dance and entertainment since its origin in 1998. They will offer free dance lessons in Addison's Community Park following their performance at 3:00 p.m.
GALLI Lucha Libre fuses the best of Lucha Libre, Mexican professional wrestling, and American-style professional wresting thus appealing to a broad audience. Lucha Libre is so popular in the Hispanic community that it is the second most popular sport behind soccer. Lucha Libre has been a part of the culture for many decades with wrestlers such as Santo, Blue Demon and Mil Mascaras viewed as super heroes. GALLI Lucha Libre continues this tradition by producing local shows which incorporate all of the traditional elements of Lucha Libre thus attracting a loyal following throughout Illinois. Be prepared to be entertained by GALLI Lucha Libre starting at 4:00 p.m. on July 15 in Community Park.
