OFA Welcomes Rep. Schneider

The Lake/McHenry Chapter of Organizing for Action (OFA) presented Congressman Brad Schneider, (D) 10th District, with a Certificate of Recognition at the opening of his new office in Lincolnshire on April 3.

Alyce Adesko and Nick Burke, from OFA, presented the plaque as 35 members of the chapter listened to Schneider's remarks. “We'll make progress but not in one swing,” cautioned Schneider. He offered hope for universal background checks, the need for trafficking to be treated as a Federal crime, and a look at mental health.

Representative Schneider said there are “complex issues with no simple solutions.” He added that his long term view involves a lot of people working together.
