Sen. Dan Kotowski and Marlene Rivera to Speak at July 19th GPAD Breakfast

Greater Palatine Area Democrats (GPAD) invites local residents to join us this Saturday morning, July 19th from 9am to 11am in the upstairs room at the Lamplighter Inn, 60 N. Bothwell St. in Palatine. Breakfast will be available for purchase.

State Senator Dan Kotowski, who represents part of Palatine Township, will discuss accomplishments of the recently completed General Assembly session and issues that may come up after the November 4th election.

Marlene Rivera, Illinois state Issue Lead for Comprehensive Immigration Reform for Organizing for Action (OFA), will discuss the prospects for comprehensive immigration reform. Marlene, who came to the United States from El Salvador as a child, will address the tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors from South and Central America who are being detained at the US border. She will discuss what we can do to help make comprehensive immigration reform a reality.

Greater Palatine Area Democrats (GPAD) is a local grassroots political organization dedicated to advancing progressive public policies.
