Lawmaker band, Toby Keith perform at inaugural concert

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Three state lawmakers who play in a band are an opening act for country singer Toby Keith at the inauguration celebration of Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner.

The members of Boat Drink Caucus are Republican state Reps. Mike Tryon of Crystal Lake, Chad Hays of Catlin and Democratic Sen. Don Harmon of Oak Park.

The band's sound has been likened to Jimmy Buffet and they regularly perform around Springfield during Legislative sessions. Harmon said Monday they planned to perform songs by Bob Dylan, Darius Rucker and The Rolling stones before Toby Keith and blues artist Buddy Guy take the stage at a Springfield convention center.

Rauner's swearing in took place at the same facility earlier in the day.

Rauner is Illinois' first Republican governor in more than a decade.
