Lifeguards Needed at Bock Pool, Atcher Island and Meineke Pool

The Schaumburg Park District is seeking applicants for several lifeguard positions.

Lifeguards must be at least 16 years old and must have valid Red Cross lifeguard certification or complete training offered by the District March 23-27.

Certification training also will be offered in mid-May, said Heather Hagstrom, District aquatics supervisor.

Hagstrom said summer lifeguards are needed at the outdoor pools at the Bock Recreation Center, Atcher Island and at Meineke Recreation Center. There is potential for the positions to extend into the post-summer months at the indoor pools at The Water Works, she said.

Employment applications are available at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Applicants should return completed applications to Stacy Johnson, assistant aquatics supervisor, at the Community Recreation Center.

Hagstrom said interviews will be scheduled for March.
