Indiana police recover woman, child taken in Milwaukee

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indianapolis police say they've recovered a woman and her child who Wisconsin authorities say were abducted in Milwaukee.

A police spokesman says officers took one man into custody after finding him with the woman and her 18-month-old daughter in a car outside a west side motel early Friday. The woman and child had no injuries but were hungry so police provided them food.

Twenty-two-year-old Donald Earvin Jones of Milwaukee was being held with bond Friday in the Marion County Jail on a charge of criminal confinement and a kidnapping warrant obtained by Milwaukee authorities. Jail records did not indicate whether he had an attorney.

Indianapolis police did not provide details of the alleged abduction.
