Chicago dim sum restaurant opening Rolling Meadows location
A new Asian cuisine restaurant is set to open in Rolling Meadows in the former Old Country Buffet location.
The building, at 1440 W. Golf Road, has been home to several short-lived dining spots since Old Country Buffet closed in 2012 including Flaming Grill & Buffet and Umi Grill.
The Rolling Meadows Community Development department recently issued a business permit for $1 million worth of work at the building, which will soon be open as MingHin Cuisine.
MingHin has another location in Chicago on Archer Avenue in Chinatown that has been featured on the WTTW television program "Check, Please." MingHin serves a mixture of traditional Asian dishes and dim sum.
