Lindenhurst OK's tree removal as part of ash borer management
Lindenhurst has authorized additional tree removal during the next few weeks as part of a multiyear management plan for the emerald ash borer. Tree removals are scheduled on the following streets: Forestview Road, Heron Drive, Mallard Drive, Pheasant Ridge Court, Teal Road, Whispering Pines Road, White Birch Road, and Waterford Drive. The contractor will remove dead ash trees infected with the emerald ash borer from parkways. Stumps will be ground and village crews will complete the grass restoration, as weather permits, in upcoming weeks. A complete list of specific locations is available at www.lindenhurstil.org.
