Arlington Heights Post Office expands holiday hours
The Arlington Heights, Evanston, Glenview and Skokie Old Orchard post offices will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sundays, Dec. 13 and 20, to provide holiday retail services for postal customers.
With the holiday season well underway, now is the time to start thinking about the best way to mail those cards, letters and packages to loved ones. For a quick, easy and convenient solution, stopping by the post office on a Sunday is the way to go.
"Our select list of post offices will be open and ready to serve our customers - even on Sundays," said Post Office Operations Manager Elizabeth Wulf. "In fact, when cards, letters and packages are deposited on a Sunday, they are the first pieces to be processed for Monday. This gives customers a head start on the week and gets their mail on its way faster to its destination."
Each post office will be fully staffed. Customers can mail cards, letters, and packages, along with purchasing stamps, packing and shipping supplies. Left notice parcels will be available for pick up.
The following post offices will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13 and 20:
• Arlington Heights, 909 W. Euclid Ave.
• Evanston, 1101 Davis St.
• Glenview, 1400 Patriot Blvd.
• Skokie Old Orchard, 9318 Skokie Blvd.
Customers are advised to stop by these locations to ensure the best service during the holidays.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
