Comment on Round Lake Beach police

Round Lake Beach residents can comment on the police department from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, as part of an on-site assessment. Comments can be made at (847) 546-2127 but are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency's ability to comply with the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program standards. Copies of the standards are available at the police department, 1947 Municipal Way or by calling Deputy Chief Michael Scott at (847) 546-2127. An outside assessment team will arrive Dec. 14, to examine all aspects of the department's policies and procedures, management, operations and support services. Police are seeking reaccreditation, and the review is intended to provide professional feedback, according to Chief David Hare.
