Indiana DL Darius Latham leaves early for NFL draft
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana defensive tackle Darius Latham announced Wednesday he will enter the NFL draft.
Despite being suspended for two games last season, the junior had 33 tackles and was tied for second on the Hoosiers with four sacks. He also had his first career interception in Saturday's Pinstripe Bowl.
Latham is the second Indiana player this week to leave early. Running back Jordan Howard made his announcement Monday. A year ago, running back Tevin Coleman also gave up his final year of eligibility to enter the draft.
Latham, an Indianapolis native, finishes his college career with 81 tackles, 7ˆ½ sacks, 18ˆ½ tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, one interception and two blocked kicks.
