Mundelein sports bar wins Golden Chicken Award

Emil's Sports Bar and Pizza in Mundelein was honored Friday with the Broaster Co.'s Golden Chicken Award 2015 for operator excellence.

"We try to make sure that the operators are deserving and that the operators are doing everything perfectly, and Emil's is a perfect example of that," Broaster Co. CEO Jay Cipra said.

Cipra presented Emil's owner Mike Bowes with a plaque and a banner during a brief ceremony at the restaurant.

"The Broaster Company has always been good to us, and for us to be named one of their top customers is quite and honor," Bowes said. "It's a great relationship and we look forward to years of continued success."

Broaster Co. is headquartered in Beliot, Wisconsin, where it manufactures pressure fryers and supplies specialty food service equipment to the industry for more than 60 years.
