Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System Responds to Adult Mental Health Care Need in Community

Expanding their inpatient behavioral health services to care for adults came out of a need in the community. With many organizations feeling the pressure of the Illinois budget impasse, they are left to serve communities with limited resources.

"We are fortunate to have the opportunity to expand our inpatient services to adults who need them and may not be able to access care elsewhere," said SBHS CEO, Ron Weglarz. "In a way, it makes sense for us to care for all ages in one central location. Now, our community will know exactly where to go for inpatient behavioral health care, regardless of age," he concluded.
