Chicago Family Palooza has something for everyone in the family

Children were seen flying through the air and climbing a (rock) wall at the Mega Center and Ballroom at the Pheasant Run Resort - but not to worry, it was all under parental supervision.

Chicago Family Palooza returned to St. Charles for an action packed day when families could try out a rock climbing wall, fly down an indoor 220-foot zip-line and more Saturday. Face-painted kids kicked off their shoes and jumped into a large selection of moon jumps and inflatables, while others watched a magic show, took a ride on a trackless train or visited animals in a petting zoo.

Jason Antor, 10, of South Elgin, who has cerebral palsy and said he is afraid of heights, gathered his courage and took a ride down the zip-line for the very first time.

Teddy Labuhn, 5, of Batavia challenged his father, Mike, to a bounce-off while wearing an inflatable Knockerball as he bumped into his dad's belly. Teddy giggled inside the clear plastic bubble as one belly bounce sent him dribbling onto to the ground like a giant basketball.

The event continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. General admission is $8, granting access to live stage shows, trackless train rides, interactive activities, petting zoo, raffles and giveaways. Activity wristbands are $15, granting access to general admission activities plus rock climbing, moon jumps, interactive vendor activities, inflatable slides, and more.
