Rookie Howard signs $6.1 million, 4-year deal with Dolphins
MIAMI (AP) - Rookie cornerback Xavien Howard has signed a $6.1 million, four-year contract with the Miami Dolphins, who took him in the second round of the draft last month.
Howard was a two-year starter at Baylor and is expected to contend for a starting job this season in a secondary that has undergone an overhaul.
The Dolphins moved up four spots and gave the Baltimore Ravens a fourth-round choice to select Howard.
