Parade a highlight of Streamwood Summer Celebration
The Streamwood Summer Celebration parade Saturday morning led into another day of the town's big summer festival, featuring a carnival, bingo, children's activities, games, food/beer tent, live entertainment on multiple stages and a business expo.
The festival continues from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hoosier Grove Park, 700 W. Irving Park Road. Admission is free and details are at streamwoodsummercelebration.org.
The Streamwood Summer Celebration parade found the participants becoming part of the audience like Caleb De La Pena, 7, of Wheaton who was part of the Village of Streamwood Community Relations Commission's "Unity In Diversity" program.
