Who's Who in Health Care: Rick Mace,, CEO, AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center, Bolingbrook
Rick Mace, Chief Executive Officer of AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center Bolingbrook, has always felt called to work in environments where he could help others. That's why he's spent more than 37 years in health care, with nearly 30 years dedicated to the Adventist Health System.
AMITA Health Bolingbrook is a 138-bed medical center with an award-winning Level II trauma center. The medical center has received many recognitions, including Joint Commission National Quality Approval, American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and it is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center by the JCAHO.
Before joining AMITA Health Bolingbrook after it opened in 2008, Mace previously served for seven years as vice president of the clinical services division at Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. Before that he spent 15 years at Florida Hospital Medical Center as vice president of operations.
Mace also serves on the board of directors for the March of Dimes, and the Will County Center for Economic Development. He also serves on the board of directors for Hinsdale Adventist Academy, and is a member of the Illinois Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Finance Committee.
Mace received his bachelor's degree from Walla Walla University, and holds two master's degrees; one from Loma Linda University, and one from Rollins College Crummer School of Business.
