Tennessee's 2017 schedule includes Georgia Tech, LSU

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee faces LSU for the first time since 2011 and has its first matchup with Georgia Tech since 1987 as part of its 2017 football schedule.

The Volunteers' 2017 schedule was announced Tuesday night.

Tennessee will begin the 2017 season Sept. 4 by facing Georgia Tech in a Monday night game at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which opens next year as the new home of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons.

The Vols' schedule includes home games with Indiana State on Sept. 9, Massachusetts on Sept. 23, Georgia on Sept. 30, South Carolina on Oct. 14, Southern Mississippi on Nov. 4, LSU on Nov. 18 and Vanderbilt on Nov. 25.

Tennessee has road games at Florida on Sept. 16, Alabama on Oct. 21, Kentucky on Oct. 28 and Missouri on Nov. 11.
