Grain lower, livestock higher
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were lower Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for December delivery was 2 cents lower at $4.0560 a bushel; December corn was 4.50 cents lower at $3.3540 bushel; December oats was 1 cent higher at $1.7720 a bushel; while November soybeans lost 1.50 cents to $9.74 a bushel.
Beef higher and pork prices were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle was .30 cent higher at $1.0885 a pound; September feeder cattle was .88 cent higher at $1.3723 pound; October lean hogs gained .50 cent to $.5493 a pound.
